Here are some detailed pictures of the towbar

There is a 'slight' bend in this tube at about 22 inches from the center of the axle.

The inside diameter of this tube is 1.15 inches.  I measure the outside diameter of the nut holding the axel as 1.133 inches.  Nothing scientific, just what was laying around.
