How Do I Participate?
Weekly Practice Sessions
We invite anyone who is interested in NVC to attend our self-led practice sessions. They are held weekly each Tuesday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There is no cost and attendance is on a walk-in basis. Practice sessions may include some topic discussion; multiple practice sessions in pairs or small groups, time for individual empathy and the intention of having fun while practicing the NVC process. While participants are strongly encouraged to attend the two-day basic training, it is not required to participate in the self-led practice group.
Location: First Universalist Church, 3400 Dupont Ave South. Check the room calendar posted on the front door and the parking lot entrance for the meeting room.
On-line Forum
For those wanting to practice NVC outside the weekly practice sessions, explore and discussion aspects of operating within an NVC consciousness, or simply ask for empathy and support from others within the community, there is an interactive on-line forum through the TCNVC Yahoo group list serve. For more information on either the weekly practice sessions or the on-line forum, contact Sue at sburks@goldengate.net or fill out and submit the form on the Contact Us page.
Great River Core Team
We also invite you to participate in the Great River Core Team. With a vision of a community in which everyone's needs are met with mutual caring, the Great River NVC Core Team is a group of volunteers whose goals are to facilitate outreach, communication and support in a manner that embodies NVC principles.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Great River Core Team, contact Sue at sburks@goldengate.net or fill out and submit the form on the Contact Us page.
