THE
GIFTS OF LENT is
the theme of our midweek Lenten services this year. Join
us at noon or
6:30pm. Lent is traditionally a time when
Christians give up something. But there is another way to
observe this holy season. This way focuses on the giving
of gifts. Join us each Wednesday, beginning
Ash Wednesday,
Feb. 17th and running through
Wednesday, March 24th, as we consider the Gifts of Lent. For

our website. A light lunch follows the noon service.
A simple supper is served beginning at 5:30pm
FRIENDS IN CHRIST:
BLIND AND VISION IMPAIRED FELLOWSHIP meets on
Tuesday evening,
March 23rd from 5-7pm.
The evening begins with a a delicious home-cooked meal. A
brief devotion follows. Our program this month will look
at Stones into Schools and the work of Greg Mortenson and
the Central Asia Institute. RVSP the church office.
Transportation assistance available for those living in Ramsey
County.
WHERE
IS GOD WHEN IT HURTS?
is the name of five week study and discussion group based on the
book by award-winning author, Philip Yancey. The group
will look at the questions: Why is there such a thing as
pain? Is pain a message from God? How do people respond to
suffering? How can we cope with pain? How does faith help?
The group will meet on Sunday afternoons
from 4-6pm beginning Feb. 28th
and running through March 28th.
A light supper will be served. There is no
charge to attend. A free will offering will be received
for the expense of the meal. Dr. Steve Arnold, the
chaplain at Concordia University, will be the facilitator.
Steve is also a certified spiritual director who has walked
through pain of his own.
THIRD
ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT
will be held on Saturday, March 27th at
2:00pm. The event will be held regardless of the
weather. The Grace of God Lutheran Church Puppet Team will
also put on a show.
