The following is a list of the most recent articles that I wrote and that were published by the Reader Weekly, of Duluth, Minnesota.  See the sidebar for links to archived articles or the subject index.

The files in the archive list to the left contain many of the articles that I wrote for the Reader Weekly, formerly known as the Northland Reader.  The Northland Reader was a biweekly alternative newspaper; it became weekly in 2001 and was renamed the Reader Weekly (much to the confusion of those who grew up reading the Weekly Reader in school).

When the Reader became weekly, I generally wrote weekly.  In 2005 I was "demoted" to bi-weekly.  The demotion is a blessing and a curse.  I don't have to think up an article every week.  I do have to remember which week I do write and what it was I wanted to write the "missed" week.

These articles are a mix of what I submitted and what the editor published. Sometimes we were in agreement on his changes; sometimes not. Similarly, sometimes the titles are my original choices; sometimes they are the editor's choice. Here's to Richard Thomas, the former editor of the Reader Weekly. Thanks, Richard, for your support. Richard has found another job and has been replaced by Dennis Kempton. Thanks, Dennis, for keeping the Reader going.

I will add the missing articles as fast as I can.  I have not posted many articles yet for 2001-2003.
