EBI was incorporated in June 1991, headquartered in Duluth, Minnesota. Initially, providing contractor services to thermally treat petroleum contaminated soils. EBI Drilling went into the future with horizontal drilling for fiber optics, phone lines, water mains, sewer mains and gas lines. As the demand for service grew, so did the demand for newer and more powerful equipment. EBI began directional drilling with a 4020 drill then purchased a 7020 to replace it and in 2005, a new 8020 was added to the drilling equipment along with a pit-launch drill and a rock drill for special applications. In December 2006, EBI purchased a new 8020 DitchWitch unit. Our trenchless 8020 delivers an integrated "system" for addressing today's demanding underground construction jobs. From the rock capabilities to the quiet vacuum feature, systems' innovation provides us maximum productivity. Our field personnel and professional staff have 60+ years of combined experience in the environmental field. Our JT8020 Mach 1 features a six-cylinder diesel engine generating 261 hp (195 kW), giving EBI Drilling Inc., all the power and torque necessary to provide maximum fluid flow and downhole productivity. But every experienced operator knows that drilling is not only about power, which is why the JT8020 Mach 1 also includes an advanced electronic system to provide cruise control, automatic pipe loading, and on-board diagnostics to simplify overall operation.
