Election Day 2004 The State Primary Election was held on September 14, 2004. Canosia Township had 1,301 registered voters at 7:00 AM with eleven new registrations throughout the day. We had 155 voters, which is only a 12% turnout. However, turnout was low throughout the state and we expect a heavy voter turnout for the General Election. During the 2000 Presidential Election we had a 92% voter turnout, so we expect a busy day! Barb Misgen, Nancy Cameron, Audrey Eaton, Helen Kaake, Millicent O’Connell, Carmen Orman, Kay Spence, Dorothy Ferguson, Jeri Georges, and Judy Harrison will be working at the polls on Election Day. The Board would like to thank our dedicated election judges for their service to the community. The General Election will be held on November 2, 2004. The polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM at the Canosia Town Hall, 4896 Midway Road. We have purchased nine new voting booths which should ease congestion during the General Election.
To be eligible to vote, a person must be 18 years of age or older on the
