Canosia
Township Planning & Zoning Commission
consists of five residents. The Board of Adjustment,
which reviews variance requests to the Planning &
Zoning Ordinance, also consists of five members
appointed by the Town Board. The Planning and
Zoning Commission conducted one public hearing last
year. The Board of Adjustment heard one variance
request.
Land use permits are issued by the Canosia Planning
& Zoning Director. Forty-one land use permits were
issued (including 39 building permits, one home
occupation permit, and one conditional use permit).
That total was down slightly from 47 the previous
year. The total value added to the Township (per land
use permits) was $1,871,500.
