You look into my eyes and tell me you
Love me
I see beneath
You don’t mean it
But think you need to
Tell me
So you don’t
Lose me
Oh the fear of
Being alone
Not knowing that you
Lost me
Long before you
Told me
You loved me (though you don’t)
I lay and look into your eyes fearing
Being alone
Feeling the emptiness of your words embracing
The emptiness in my heart
As I return those same words to you
I see you looking beneath my eyes
