FROM THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF MARY O'BRIEN
Since the
passing away of "Our Dusty" messages of sympathy have been posted to
the various Tribute pages on the World Wide Web. At first we tried to
reply to each correspondent individually but it soon became apparent
the task was getting beyond us. The sheer volume of these messages and
the kind thoughts expressed in them brought home to us that "Our Dusty"
was equally "Your Dusty".
As you may be aware, Mary's funeral will take place
this Friday 12th March and is to be a small affair attended by
a mere 120 or so people. However we have seen many messages asking where
flowers or cards should be sent. Mary expressed a wish for great
quantities of flowers but specified these should take the form of Bouquets
or Basket Arrangements but that there should be No Wreaths
. Flowers may be sent to:
Mary herself would be thrilled if you could also send a small donation to:
The Royal Marsden Hospital Fulham Road London SW3 6JJOn a personal note, a couple of Christmases ago I asked Dusty if she had any regrets about her life, to which she replied, "Are you kidding? I've had a ball!"
Thank you all for your kind support at this sad time.
