Chad Braafladt, Chairman

Chad Braafladt, CP Telecom Chairman, founded CP Telecom's predecessor company CP Internet in 1994. Braafladt has grown his company from being Minnesota's largest privately held Internet Service Provider (ISP) to today's technology-savvy Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) which provides a complete integration of Local, Long Distance, Internet Services and Web Hosting to thousands of businesses and consumers.
Braafladt chairs the company's mission to provide a strong and responsive combination of product delivery and customer service. As Chairman, he engages his team in staying knowledgeable and responsive to the changing technologies and benefits voice and data products offer.
Braafladt has built and guided the company's successes by maintaining vigilance in technologies, which have spearheaded productivity including computer sciences and telecommunications. With CP Internet and now CP Telecom, he has successfully managed a series of merger and acquisitions
in building profitability through an era when many companies failed.
Earlier in his career, Braafladt was Director of IT for Zenith Management Company and has held founding and executive positions in several computer industry associations. Braafladt was an award winner of the Joel Labovitz Entrepreneurial Success Award in 1998.
Braafladt is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of The College of St. Scholastica where he majored in Management and Computer Information Systems. |

Tim Devine, President & CEO

Tim Devine is President and Chief Executive Officer of CP Telecom and has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business since November 2004.
Devine has worked in the communications, software, and information services business for over 23 years including successful tenures at GTE Sprint, Contel, MFS Communications, and Ovation Communications / McLeodUSA. Devine was the Founder and CEO of Ovation
Communications which was sold to McLeodUSA in a transaction valued at over $400 million in 1999.Ovation had 500 employees, operated local fiber optic networks and telephone switches in 4 Midwest states and had revenue approaching $100M the year the company was sold.
His role with McLeodUSA included the management of 2,800 people that addressed most of the day-to-day operations of the company’s telecom business.
Previously Devine also has served as CEO of a company providing large-scale web hosting services and a company selling an enterprise Java-based software development toolkit. In his role as CEO of three companies over 7 years Mr. Devine received equity commitments of over $74M and debt commitments of over $270M. In addition, he participated on the road show in New York and Boston for a successful $500M secondary equity offering for McLeodUSA. Devine has a Bachelors degree from Arizona State University and a Masters degree in Telecommunications Policy from the George Washington University. |

Bob Beidel, Vice President, Sales

Robert Beidel is Vice President of Sales for CP Telecom and has been responsible for the leading the efforts in establishing the sales and account management teams for the company since October 2002.
Beidel is a 15-year telecommunications industry veteran who has been instrumental in developing the company’s unique wholesale and indirect sales agent revenue channels. Through his work experience at McLeodUSA, Ovation Communications, Norlight, MCI and LDB International, Bob possesses an outstanding record of success in a variety of telecom product and service areas including: Data, Fiber Optic Networks (Dark Fiber
and OCN platforms), CLEC Business lines, and Telecom Carriers Local and Long Haul Services.
Beidel’s telecommunications knowledge includes a strong familiarity with the engineering, design and installations of telecommunications services and networks. This skill set has been developed by selling and servicing into such key accounts as Genuity, AOL, AT&T, IBM, Prodigy, SplitRock, XO, Worldcom, Covad, Earthlink and United Online. Beidel holds a Bachelor of Science Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Stout. |

Troy Johnson, Vice President of Operations & Engineering.

Troy manages the operations and engineering of CP Telecom and is responsible for both the voice and data networks as well as systems programming. Troy was instrumental in the research and development that was undertaken in creating the CLEC division of CP Telecom. His previous experience includes 19 years in the telecommunications field and includes management roles at McLeodUSA where he was the Director of Switch Translations responsible for complex customer translations engineering as well as an executive elected team leader for implementing end-to-end process improvements for the company.
Troy's experience includes the management of all 39 of McLeodUSA's Lucent 5ESS and Northern Telecom DMS Class 4 and 5 (local and long distance) switch translations and software. This included all management and implementation of testing and turn up as well as escalation procedures from inception through day-to-day operations at all switch sites. Prior to McLeodUSA, Troy was the 9th person hired in the start-up of Ovation Communications (which was later sold to McLeodUSA) where he implemented and managed switch translations and traffic/billing analysis from initial company funding and start up through growth and facilities based turn up in four major metropolitan markets.
Troy worked for Lucent Technologies/Bell Laboratories in Naperville, IL for ten years as a Lead Engineer of the technical staff responsible for designing, implementing and testing databases and code for 5ESS features.
Troy has all course work completed for his Masters degree in Computer Science from North Central College in Illinois and has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Missouri.
